I'm not a particularly obsessive person. But, if something were to come close to an obsession for me, it would be Bach. J.S. Bach in particular, although I am fond of a few pieces by C.P.E. Bach. Or, maybe it's just counterpoint.

Francesco Tristano is a recent discovery of mine, whose recorded Bach repertoire is stunning and extensive. Particularly his recordings of J.S. Bach's English Suites.

Another obsession: anything, and I mean anything, that Grigory Sokolov decides to play. For example his rendition of Chopin's Raindrop Prelude (op. 28 no. 15, Des-Dur):

Sokolov is known for numerous encores (up to six) at his recitals, and this Prelude featured frequently as one of his encore pieces a few years ago.

I also love ambient piano. Simple, textured chord progressions and arpeggios. Elijah Fox is a good example:
