Christopher Keegan

Born in the late 1990s, I like mountain hiking, bicycle travel, playing and listening to music, and learning new things. Meditation too.

Since I fit in well with the expectations of academic education, I stayed in this environment up until finishing a PhD in computational physics in 2023. I then thought it was time to experience life outside school and have more of a corporeal life experience. So, I travelled by bicycle across Eurasia, from France to Japan, over the course of 15 months.

More recently I've become interested in ecology and complex systems. I'll try and share musings on life, what slow travel (by bicycle or on foot) taught me, and whatever else I am learning. Bear in mind I may simply use this space as a soundboard for structuring my thoughts.

I also teach, more or less frequently. Mainly mathematics, physics and scientific computing. My favourite courses to teach are complex analysis, atomic and molecular physics, crystallography, and integral transforms.
